Field trip to Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens
Located on 2.5 acres, the Ole Hanson registered historic landmark, the Ole Hanson home. The home was built by San Clemente, Ole Hanson, as his vision for the Californian dream. Design elements like its keyhole door were added by the architect, Carl Lindbom, to set Casa Romantica apart.

Casa Romantica has developed notoriety for its wide-ranging cultural programming. These include music, art, dance, theater, horticulture, and a lecture series that brings international talent to southern Orange County.
In Hanson's time, much of the land was wild and not yet structured into the gardens you will see today. The remaining 2.5 acres of the original 5 acres have been transformed into native and educational gardens meant to educate the public about conscientious and artful horticulture.

Guided tours are available with reservations. Guests may explore the gardens, the historic house and discover art, history, and culture at Casa Romantica. Scavenger hunts which follow the general route self-guided tours are available for small children. The center also hosts an assortment of free arts education programs for children all year long.
