The Imperial Valley Desert Museum is a new facility in the heart of the Yuha Desert housing Native American and historic artifacts found within the Imperial Valley. They interpret, preserve, and celebrate the Imperial desert, its natural history, and the history of the peoples who inhabited it.
The museum offers a variety of changing exhibits that are fully interactive and great for all ages. Their permanent exhibits cover Archaeology, Native Americans, Geology, the nature of Imperial Valley and more. The museum also hosts traveling and temporary exhibits.
The museum also features art pieces, such as the Mosaic Tortoise and the Giant Purple Cactus.
