Field trip to Lotusland
Lotusland, also knowns as Ganna Walska Lotusland, is one of the top ten gardens in the world, making it a truly remarkable place to visit.

The history behind Lotusland and its late owner, Ganna Walska, formerly known as Hanna Puacz, is an incredible one. Between having six husbands before her death, a singing career, and searching for her purpose in life, Ganna Walska still ended up creating one of the world's most magnificent gardens. Though she didn't design or care for the garden all on her own, Ganna Walska certainly had a big hand in the creation of the gardens. In 1993, it was officially opened to the public.

Lotusland has a large variety of plants and gardens including a water garden and pond, topiary garden, an aloe garden, and a Japanese garden, to name a few. Other gardens that can be found at Lotusland include a cactus garden, orchard, cycad garden, fern garden, and insectary garden, as well as a succulent garden. This is just a small list compared to the other gardens that Lotusland has.

Drop-in tours are not available due to the permit that Lotusland has with the City of Santa Barbara so please call and schedule your tour ahead of time. Contact the front office for availability.
