Field trip to Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden
Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden is every garden lover's dream. Sitting on 7.5 acres the botanical garden includes an outdoor classroom, a research facility, and a living plant museum which contains plants from all around the world.

The mission of Mildred E. Mathia Botanical Garden is to promote plant conservation, provide botanical research, and horticulture. The botanical garden is a tranquil oasis with all of the lovely and beautiful plants that it houses. Each plant has a tag detailing where the plant is from and some information about the plant. There is also a stream which has koi fish, turtles and crayfish to view. Benches and picnic tables are available throughout the garden so that you may enjoy your lunch surrounded by the beauty of nature. There are also a few small trails available for walking.

The botanical garden is a wonderful place to visit for many reasons: researching plants; educational purposes; or enjoying a peaceful lunch on a beautiful day. Don't miss out on this little piece of heaven.
