Field trip to Murphy Auto Museum
The Murphy Auto Museum sits in a 30,000 square foot facility making it one of the largest such museums in the area. It was founded in 2000 by Dr. Daniel Murphy, and other car collectors in the area began contributing cars to turn it into what it is today.

There are over 90 different cars on display in the museum, and the collection rotates on a regular basis, ensuring a fresh and exciting visit every time. Also on display is a massive model train collection, one of the largest on the California coast. Students will love talking to the Gold Coast Modular Railroad Club members manning the Railroad Display, and get to control various parts of the display themselves.

Docents, many of whom volunteer out of pure love for the cars on display here, will lead your group through the museum. Students will learn about the history, preservation, and importance of the collection of cars here. Many will want to return again and again with their parents and grandparents!
