Petersen Automotive Museum field trip

At the Petersen Automotive Museum, you can see some of the most famous "Star Cars" to appear on the big screen in the "Automobiles in the Movies" exhibition; or you can visit some of the other permanent exhibits like the CARS Mechanical Institute, inspired by the animated film, which immerses visitors in different interactive stations where they learn about the mechanical systems that make cars work.

You can also buy tickets for the Vault Tours. The Vault has more than doubled in size and now features over 250 vehicles from around the world. The Vault now features vehicles from 6 different regions, and provides an immersive experience exploring the history of the automobile. Visitors will see turn-of-the-twentieth-century cars, head-of-state cars, supercars, cars belonging to Hollywood legends, award-winning hot rods, and many other surprises.

General Admission ranges from $11 - $16 depending on age. The Cars Mechanical Institute, Forza Motorsport Racing Experience and Admissions Desk close 30 minutes prior to the rest of the museum. Visitors must refrain from touching the vehicles.
