Field trip to Santa Barbara Maritime Museum
Located on the edge of Santa Barbara Harbor, the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum features 2 floors and over 8000 square feet of exciting and educational exhibits: Surfing, Navigation, Shipwrecks, Channel Island Ranching, Point Conception Lighthouse Lens, and more.

The Maritime Museum also features many educational programs: For the kids, the museum has the Tall Ship Program, Marine Science, and Science Night; for the entire family, Family Night and Kardboard Kayak Races.

Complete your trip to the museum with a visit to the Munger Theater - the Museum's state of the art HD multimedia theater built into a replica schooner. Here you'll find films that take you on underwater adventures, deep sea archeological explorations and much more.

Trained docents lead the Field Trip Program for schools and youth organizations. Students will experience the thrill of the Maritime Museum and the Santa Barbara Harbor on a 90-minute docent-led tour. To allow staff to personalize your school's field trip experience, a call is needed two weeks in advance.
