Field trip to Strathearn Historical Park & Museum
Take a step back in time at Strathearn Park. Strathearn Historical Park and Museum showcases many historic buildings such as the Strathearn House and the Simi Adobe.

Two rooms of the original adobe house built in 1892 remain at the park. In addition to the Adobe Strathearn House, there are various historic buildings to visit. These include the original Simi Valley Library, including the 1924 Montgomery children's playhouse, the 1902 St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, a Colony House constructed in 1888, the Currier apricot pitting shed, The Banaga Barber Shop, and two separate barns filled with farm tools and equipment.

Third-grade classes within Simi Valley are welcome to visit Strathearn Historical Park & Museum to learn about the cultural and physical landscape of old California. The docent-led tours provide the only way to experience the inside of the many interesting buildings located at the Park.

Students will learn about the culture of Native Americans in the area, as well as the impact of arriving immigrants. There will be plenty of time to learn the history of the buildings and how they were used in the area as well.
